The Post Office now offers its products through brokers.
The Post Office has decided to open up its range of products through brokers. For the first time intermediaries will be able to access deals through the lender.
It initially launched into the mortgage market in 2009, with a deal tied into the Bank of Ireland which develops mortgage products and provides the funding. Deals were at first only offered online and via the telephone, but in 2012 it started selling mortgages through its branches but didn't offer regulated advice.
Since MMR rule changes it is now necessary to offer deals on an advised basis, and opening up its range to brokers means that it could increase its market share.
