More needs to be done to help contractors and self-employed workers to purchase a home, as while this sector is important to the economy, lenders seem to forget this. 

The hoops contract workers and the self-employed have to go to be considered for a deal, shows just how they are viewed by banks – and that’s as a higher risk.
