Nationwide extends its upper age limit for remortgaging home-owners.

Nationwide Building Society has just announced its plan to extend its maximum age for remortgage borrowing. From mid-July the upper limit will now be 85 years of age.

This option will be made available across the lender’s entire product range on deals for up to 60% LTV, with a limit for any new borrowing of £150,000. LTVs will be limited to a maximum 60%.

This is positive news for older borrowers and will hopefully lead other lenders to follow suit.
